More About Jacob

Early Life and Academics

I was born in Bermingham Alabama in January of 1996 to my father, Dr. Henry S. Maddux, and mother, Sena M. Maddux, as the youngest of five children. In 2000, when I was 4 years old, our family then moved to Huntsville, Texas, where I spent most of my formative years growing up. Over the next 10 years my father worked at Sam Houston State University and my mother stayed home and educated me and my siblings. While in Huntsville I got envoled with sports and theater, which are both still important elements in my life today. In my teenage years I moved to Belton, Texas, where I continued playing sports and performing in musical theater productions. After graduating highschool, I attended Temple College in hopes of completing my general education and transferring to a larger university. While attending at Temple College I worked several jobs ranging from animal husbandry to being the head grounds keeper and event manager at a local wedding venue. Once I had completed the prerequsite courses for transfer, my pursuit to enter a major universtiy paid off as I was admitted to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. It was there I became aware of a passion for software development and began tinkering with different coding languages such as Python, C#, C++, JavaScript and others. As of today, I have grown much more adept at coding in theses languages and I still continue to develop my programming abilities inside and outside of formal educational opportunities. Hobbies: In my spare time I like to play sports and exercise regularly. I also play RPGs and some video games with friends. I have also have gotten into the world of 3d-printing which I have grown to enjoy very much.
